Unlock Your Inner Unicorn

I believe we are all unicorns in our own way.

Just like those mythical creatures with their singular horns, each of us possesses a special talent or quality that sets us apart.

Whether it's a flair for creativity, a gift for connecting with others, or an extraordinary skill, our uniqueness is what makes the world so wonderfully diverse.

Alright, buckle up because here it comes… the Big But (note spelling):

There's a fine line between being a unicorn and chasing a unicorn solution.

(Ah, you've got me pegged, young Padawan, for I am the reigning monarch of seamlessly transitioning into making a statement relevant.)

The ever-popular unicorn solution that folks keep throwing my way when diving into email marketing?

"When's the best day and time to hit send?”

Last time, my answer to your burning email question was, “It depends,” but this time, it’s a little clearer.

I have no idea.

WHAT? Yes. That, and this:

I think it’s more important to pick a day, time, and frequency and stick with it.

I refer to this as “The Cadence,” and here’s how it works:

Take my newsletter, for instance. I opt to dispatch it on Tuesday mornings at the crack of dawn, aiming for prime placement at the forefront of your inbox queue.

Coincidentally, Tuesdays are a big networking day for me, where a significant portion of my subscribers are present.

The newsletter frequently sparks engaging conversations during these gatherings, often prompting attendees to recommend it to others.

Consequently, I typically observe a surge in new subscribers on Tuesdays.

This strategy works for ME. It’s MY unicorn solution.

Has it evolved? Absolutely. I send the Tuesday newsletter and also release podcast episodes, highlight client projects, and announce speaking engagements, aiming for specific days whenever feasible. Occasionally, you might even receive a Saturday update from me.

Those may go out at different times of day; that’s where I play with the idea of different timing.

But you can always count on the Tuesday Early Morning Missive.
