What’s On Your Summer Bucket List?

I don't know about you, but I can't seem to shake off thoughts of summer. Each year, I eagerly consult my Summer Bucket List, filled with activities I aspire to accomplish during the months ahead.

This year's top spot? Blithewold Mansion and Gardens in Bristol, Rhode Island. Picture a grand botanical garden intertwined with Gilded Age opulence. Perched atop a hill overlooking Narragansett Bay, it offers meticulously kept gardens that blend history, natural charm, and elegance for an unforgettable visit.

My daughter Bennie first introduced me to this gem, and I had the chance to visit earlier this spring with my partner. Sadly, our time there was abruptly shortened due to early closure for a wedding (not ours; we have no interest in that), but it’s at the top of our list for our summertime adventures.

Continuously expanding my Summer Reading List, I recently enjoyed Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale. This historical fiction gem, set in World War II France, follows the poignant tale of two sisters separated during the Nazi Occupation. Next up in the queue is Lady Tan’s Circle of Women by Lisa See.

When it comes to books, I'm not just flipping through pages—I'm actively collaborating with authors through my Book Idea Incubator program to help bring their literary visions to fruition.

And you can, too.

If starting that book project is a summer goal for you, you can still join me for personalized 1:1 writing coaching. To begin the conversation, just fill out the form provided here.

Let's check one item off your summer bucket list and turn your literary dreams into someone’s next beach read!
