holiday wishes

+ taking a little break

Well, it’s not every year that Christmas and Hanukkah coincide, but here we are: Chrismukkah has arrived!

Despite my last name (Harrington) and my children’s surname (McLaughlin), we celebrate both holidays. If you’re curious about how that came to be, grab a copy of my book for the full story.

I’m also a fan of Festivus, mainly because it gives me a chance to air my grievances (which, thankfully, are few).

We also ring in the New Year with a big Brazilian family brunch on January 1st. (This story is not in my book, but I’ll regale you with it another time).

My point is (and yes, I’m getting there) that this season is filled with various religious, cultural, and secular celebrations. Whatever and however you celebrate, I wish you a joyful and restful time with your loved ones.

Speaking of rest, I’m giving myself the gift of time by unplugging for a bit and will not send any more emails before the New Year. I hope you seize the opportunity to do the same.

Wishing you the very best, and see you in 2025!
