AcuBoston Spring 2023 Newsletter

Nature’s rich pageant is in full bloom as tree buds emerge and flowers peek up from the ground after a long winter’s nap.

Spring is on the way — and so is allergy season. Maybe you’re feeling it already. Reddened eyes, scratchy throat, non-stop sneezing.

While the default treatment for many is to turn to OTC medications like Benadryl or Zyrtec, the trade-off can be equally discomforting: dry eyes and sinuses and a cloudy mind, just to name a few.

But fret not: Traditional Chinese Medicine is here to help!

In addition to needle acupuncture treatments, here are some herbal remedies to consider:

Take a table spoon of crushed mint and tablespoon dried Chrysanthemum and steep in 8 oz of hot water for 5 minutes.  Throw in a slice of lemon and a spoon of local honey.   Enjoy your tea!

AcuBoston also creates custom herbal supplements based on your particular seasonal triggers and symptoms. Contact us  at 1-617-860-2039 or send us a message to learn more.

AcuBoston will soon be taking MassHealth Insurance

In our ongoing effort to bring acupuncture to as many people as possible, we are working with the Commonwealth to establish ourselves as a qualified MassHealth service provider. As soon as the T’s are crossed and the I’s are dotted, we’ll be sure to let you know!

Tai Chi/ Qi Gong
Starting May 10th
Wednesday and Friday mornings, 10 am-11 am

Spring is a time of renewal and increased movement. If you’re looking for an inspiring way to mix up your exercise routine, there’s no better time than now to explore the self-healing, meditation and self-cultivation exercises of Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

Tai Chi is a body movement practice involving a series of slow, gentle movements, physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. The breathing piece embodies the practice of Qi Gong, whereby movement and mind ignite our inner energy (“Qi”) to create outer results.

Tai chi and Qi Gong are adaptable for nearly all fitness levels, do not require equipment, and will leave you feeling more energetic, with increased clarity and focus, and ready to take on the world!

Classes kick off on May 10th and will continue throughout the month. Drop in as you’d like, or make May the month you begin a new body movement practice in your life!

Class fees: $15 per class; $10 for current AcuBoston clients
